TOUR NO. 1
ROHTANG PASS : (3978 Mtrs.)
The most popular place of interest which generally opens in the month of May or June, owing to heavy snow and inaccessible roads. This place again closed down for tourists by the end of September. During the rest of the time, the authorities open access till the following places that fall on the way and becomes the Snowpoint.
NEHRU KUND :- 6 Km, from Manali. The name is associated with Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru as this was his favourite place. One can enjoy the crystal clear cold water gushing out from the hard rocks, though the beauty of the place has been devastated during the major floods in 1995. The water is considered good for health.
KOTHI :- 15 km. from Manali. The place is rich in scenic beauty & serenity. The ups & down of the landscape provides enchanting beauty of this place, the bridge on the way and sight from it reminds one of the gothic episodes. “KOTHI” is the village beside the Beas River.
GULABA :- 20 km. from Manali. The place is calm and embellished with picturesque beauty. The place has wild variety of flowers which adds onto the beauty and its landscaping. An ideal place for picnic. This is also the beginning of the trek to Brighu lake.
RAHLA FALL :- 27 km. from Manali. At this place one of the tributaries of Beas River makes a waterfall of almost 50 mts. High.
MARHI :- 35 km. from Manali. Marhi is the main stop over on the way to famous Rohtang Pass. The meadows rich in lush green grass and flowers is unmatchable in scenic beauty and meandering Beas River. All sorts of edibles are available here in open as well as indoor restaurants and dhabas. One can enjoy an open air drink to be tipsy in the midst of nature. Romance on the white sheet of snow and make your holiday unforgettable.
RANI NALA :- 40 Kms. from Manali. It is the point of glacier where the whole year snow is available.
ROHTANG PASS :- 51Kms. from Manali. Rohtang Pass forms the threshold to the district of Lahoul & Spiti of H.P. & to Leh Ladakh. The mighty pass affords a wide spread panorama of mountain scenery with snow. The Rohtang gives wide range of precipitous cliffs, high glaciers, piled moraines and deep ravines. To the opposite of Rohtang is “Sonepani Glacier” The river Beas rises near the crest of Rohtang from a block of mica-schist. SOLANG VALLEY : (2480 Mtrs.)
13 Kms. from Manali. It is a beautiful valley between Manali & Kothi. The road to Solang Valley gets diverted at village Palchan, from Manali-Rohtang road. It is a place of green meadows in summer & ski-slopes in winter. The plateau is frequently visited for holding camps for trekking parties. The National Winter Skiing Championship is organized here as well as training imparted at this place. The place is ideal for paragliding, trekking, skiing, picnic & horse riding.

MANALI : (2050Mtr.) Local Sight-Seeing.
MHADIMBA TEMPLE :- 1.5 Km. from Manali.built in 1553 A.D. By Raja Bhadur Singh. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Hadimba, the wife of Bhima. CLUB HOUSE :- 1.5 Km. from Manali. A beautiful recreation complex that houses various indoor games, has a roller skating rink as well - managed by the Himachal Tourism. The Manalsu - a tributary of Beas flows right near the complex which enables tourists to go and sit by the river.
MANU MAHARISHI-TEMPLE :- 2 Km. from Manali. The temple is dedicated to Manu Rishi-The great Hindu Law giver. The newly renovated temple is Pagoda Shaped famous for wooden carvings. It is approachable by road and on the way, one can have a close glimpse of the typical old
TIBETAN MONASTERY :- Walking distance from the Mall.The pent roofed Buddhist monastery has the mighty image mental peace away city-life. Very famous for carpets weaving and tibetan handicrafts.
VASHISHT HOT WATER SPRING :- This typical village is associated with the Vashisht Muni which was has place of meditation. It is believed that the epic hero Laxman had fired an Agni Vaan on ground from where grushed out the hot water sulphur spring to combat the cold when he had come to take Vashisht Muni for Ashwamegh Yagna. The water is believed to cure acme diseases. There is a Ram temple situated just nearby.

NAGGAR : (2460Mtrs.) The following points comes with this tour.
JAGAT SUKH : 8 Km. from Manali. The village is famous for Shikhara Style temple and old temple of Gayatri Devi and Sharvali created by the Pandavas. It was once the capital of Kullu State during 15th Century
SAZLA TEMPLE : On the way to Naggar, 12 Km. from Manali there is a beautiful temple of Lord Vishnu.
NAGGAR : (1760 Mtrs.) 22 Km. from Manali. Naggar was the Kullu Province during the reign of Raja Jagar Singh in 17th century. In 1860, the capital was shifted to Sultanpur (Kullu). It is a big village and has two valuable heritages.
NAGGAR CASTLE : The castle of old rules is still with typical structure showing the symbols of old capital of Kullu. This castle was built by Raja Bhosal. The property is now under the control of H.P.T.D.C. in the form of a Hotel. It is a hill top castle and a god point for photography. The castle houses a sacred slab of stone ‘Jagti Patt’ which withstands all the pending dangers to the people of the valley.
NICHOLAS ROERICH ART GALLERY : Nicholas Roerich, the famous painter, sculpturer, write and philosopher, born in 1874 married the renowned Indian actress Devika Rani and settled down in Naggar. He came down to India in 1928. He was so enthralled by this place that he spent his last two decades here. His property was later converted to an art Gallery which houses his valuable paintings.

BIJLI MAHADEV TEMPLE : (Optional)
50 Km. from Manali & 10 Kms.from Kullu. It is across the Beas River at an altitude of 2460 Mtrs. One of the most striking temples in the whole of the valley of the gods and goddesses. A 60 feet high wooden staff of Bijli Mahadev (Lord Shiva) Shrine glisten like a silver needle in the sun. In this temple it is said, the tall staff attracts the divine blessing in the form of lightning some time in the month of July-Aug. (Rainy Season)the idol of Shiva Linga, gets scattered with the effect of thunder and lightning. The holy priest (Pujari) of the temple collects the scattered pieces of the image and restores them in the pre-existing form with the help of pure white butter collected from nearby locality. The temple is on a hill top providing panoramic view of whole Kullu valley, Bhuntar town, and Parvati valley. The green grassland and whistling wind of the gives one an impression of paradise.

MANALI TO MANIKARAN :
86 Km. from Manali. It is a full day journey. The tourist point on the way are as under :
VAISHNO DEVI TEMPLE : 38 Km. from Manali and 2,5 Km. before Kullu H.Q. The Vaishno Devi temple is on the right bank of Beas River and the image of goddess Vaishno is enshrined in a deep rock-cave.
ANGORA (RABBIT) FARM : 5 Km. from Kullu. Here the different varieties of angora and their products are available on reasonable rates
KULLU SHAWLS WEAVING COMPANY : Just a couple of Kms. away from angora farm are the industries producing typical Kullu -Shawls, Mufflers, Mufflers, Jackets Socks & many others.
KASOL VALLEY : 38 Kms. from Bhuntar Airport & 4 Km. Before Kasol Valley. The road to Manikaran is full of excitement and breathtaking. Manikaran is very famous for its hot water springs. The water is said to be radio active and is curable for skin diseases. It is so hot that one can cook food grains by putting in a bag of cloth by dip method. A well known pilgramige associated with the ancient temple of lord Rama and Gurudwara dedicated to Guru Nanak Dev. The holy place is on the right bank of Parvati river, Manikaran is main station for the trekkers, starting for Khir-Ganga, Mantalai & ahead.
